This December, ELLIS Madrid is opening a new chapter with the first edition of its Winter Workshop, Bright Minds, Cold Days. Held on December 17 at UC3M’s Puerta de Toledo Campus, the event brings together an enthusiastic mix of students, researchers, and AI enthusiasts for a morning of ideas and inspiration.
The workshop will kick off with a keynote by Finale Doshi-Velez, known for her leading work on interpretable and human-centered AI. After the talk, participants can explore the student poster session, a space for showcasing emerging projects in AI and Machine Learning while enjoying a coffee and informal conversations.
To close the event, Fernando Pérez Cruz will offer a second keynote, bringing his experience in probabilistic modelling and real-world ML applications to the stage.
Registration is free, but spots are limited, and students interested in presenting a poster must sign up in advance.
